My Fair Warning

ok ya'll,

As I sit here typing this, I am nearly in tears. Let me explain...

Yesterday, I woke up to my left eye swollen shut. SWOLLEN SHUT!!!! After freaking out, tweeting a little to see if someone knew what could help, I broke down into tears because I didn't know what else to do.

What could have caused this?? No idea. After receiving a reply on Twitter from @Beautythesis I put some cold ice around the eye area. I also took a Benadryl, since I do have allergies and perhaps it was an allergic reaction or my allergies acting up. As the day went on the eye went down and my freak out ceased.

Fast forward to this morning, I wake up with an even BIGGER eye!!!! I'm freaking out! I don't know what to do. Normally, I'd run over to my doctor but my health insurance has just recently been cut off for some unknown reason. And considering my current state of finances- I ain't visiting no doctor no time soon.

I'm so sad =(

Why am I telling you this??

a) I needed to vent and Twitter's 140 character rule doesn't let me do that properly

b) THROW OUT ALL OLD MASCARAS!!!! Thinking back to this week, my eye started irritating me after using my Lash Stiletto mascara by Maybeline. As much as I LOVED that mascara, it's old. It's dried up. I noticed that when I tried using it and I had to tug at my lashes. Nothing happened- no lengthening, no sparks. Just a slight "owww..wtf". So yeah. Learn from my mistake. I recently (this morning) threw out all of my mascara's that are old- leaving me with two mascaras in my collection :( If you can't remember when you started using the mascara...chuck it.

c) DON'T USE A TOWEL! Ok not quite. BUT I do think my towel also plays a role in my swollen eye. But I have no absolute proof because I started using the towel a couple of days before the Lash Stiletto episode. There was no immediate reaction but I did notice that I was constantly rubbing my eye after using said towel. I threw that out as well. Over reacted? Maybe. Do I care? No. Tell that to my swollen eye.

So now I look like Quasimodo.
