When MAC's Mineralized Skin Finish collection came out, I wasn't really a big MAC addict so I passed on them. Later after all the rave, I went to my local MAC store only to walk away empty handed because quite honestly, all that glitter scared me!! Then the MSF Natural came out and everyday I consider running...I meant walking...to the MAC store to buy it. My only purchase from MAC's mineralized collection was when Grand Duos was released and I was thoroughly disappointed. Again the glitter.
But I'm reconsidering all of that with this...MAC's Color Craft Collection slated to be released July 9, 2009 (but when I spoke to my MAC artist they told me that its supposed to come out June 28th in NYC...)
Mineralize Skinfinish: (price unknown but I'm going to guess $27)
The MSF's are back and this time I'm sooooo ready to dive in. They're outrageously pretty. Consisting of six MSF's in total Color Crafts has three MSF's that are one color all over and the other three with different blends in the compact.
- Porcelain Pink - Soft pinky coral with gold veining*
- Sunny by Nature- Rich bronze with pink pearl pig*
- Cheeky Bronze - Soft golden coral with bronze pearl*
- Smooth Merge - Left: Soft champagne pink / Center: Deep rose / Right: Pale cool pink
- Warm Blend - Left: Antique gold / Center: Mahogany Bronze / Right: Copper
- Triple Fusion - Left: Soft champagne gold / Center: Soft golden peach / Right: Rose pink with gold nuances
The lipsticks aren't really doing it for me. I already own Most Popular as it's a repromote from the Hello Kitty collection. Made with Love and Trimming Talk are just my cup of tea as they're bright colors and I'm dying to get a coral color in for the summer. Other than that, I'm not really inspired or motivated by the lipsticks :/
- Trimming Talk - Bright fuschia (Frost)*
- Ever Embellish - Plum brown with red pearl (Lustre)
- Colour Crafted - Milky pink (Frost)
- Made with Love - Bright coral pink (Lustre)*
- Most Popular - Purple with yellow undertone (Lustre)
- Madly Creative - Pink neutral with white pearl (Frost)
- Nice Mix Up - Burnt ginger
- Pretty Pattern - Warm mid-tone beige
- Funky Fusion - Pink coral
- Crazy Haute - Blue pink
- Eclectic Edge - Cool violet
- Miss Marble - Muted pink
C'est la vie.
Mineralize Eye Shadow: (price unknown)
Can we get a moment please...
I love these eyeshadows! But since I'm not an eyeshadow junkie I have to be realistic and realize that buying more than two would be useless. I rarely wear eyeshadow so buying a whole bunch would just be money being wasted. They're quite pretty to look at though!

- Natural Flare Copper / Yellow orange / Mid-tone brown / Rich gold
- Girlish Romp Mid-tone violet / Yellow white with gold pearl / Light pastel coral / Mid-tone pink
- Fashion Patch Ice blue / Off white / Black with silver glitter / Light white pink*
- Eccentricity Rich gold / Light violet / Deep plum/ Rich bronze
- Assemblage White with silver pearl / Deep grey / Black with silver glitter / Warm yellow gold*
I'm s blush JUNKIE. ohmigoodness I love blush like nobodies business! I really think that blush has the power to transform your entire look. It brightens up the face and I consider it a staple. So while staring at these I think I'm going into mini cardiac arrest ;)
But. But. They are mineralized blush meaning that they have that dreaded G word. Glitter. Some people love using the word shimmer to describe the mineralized blush collection but I saw straight up chunks of glitter on my cheeks when I applied Grand Duos. So we'll see how this one works out.
- Style Demon - Mid-tone brick red with copper veining*
- Improvise - Mid-tone neutral coral with light white yellow gold veining
- Fab-dabulous - Mid-tone burnt coral with yellow gold veining
- Hand-Finish - Light pink with deep gold veining
- Daft Pink - Deep blue pink with light white gold veining*
- Cheek & Cheerful - Mid-tone bronzy brown with yellow gold veining
When it comes to MAC brushes, I love them but I don't love the prices, so I normally skip them. There are many drugstore brands that can apply my makeup- without making me cry a little inside while being rung up.
With that said, however, the #130 brush is calling my name. Word on the interwebs is that this brush is perfect for applying mineralized products so maybe if I were to purchase this brush my feelings would change.
I just need to see the price first haha
- #109 Small Contour Brush - Use on the face to apply, blend or contour powder products. Softly rounded dome tip delivers just enough color; smoothly blends color into the face. Made of Of natural fibres. (Permanent) - $32.00USD
- #130 Brush - Flat tapered face brush with short natural hairs and long synthetic fibres (LE)*
- #226 Small Tapered Blending Brush - Small tapered blending brush (LE) $24.50USD (Repromote from Brunette Blonde Redhead)
Now that you've got the deets, tell me what are you getting from MAC Color Craft?? Are you skipping this collection?? Let me know gals!
