For the past two years I've been trying to get a job at Sephora. I cannot tell you how many applications I have for pretty much ALL the Sephora stores in NYC. I remember when I landed an interview (finally), I came runnin' on blogger to let ya'll know on what is now my old and long gone personal blog. I never gt the call back and felt utterly worthless. I thought I wooed them with my knowledge of Dior Blackout, how to apply bronzer, how to overcome objections and lastly how I could talk for days about the Beauty Insider card. But I guess I was wrong.
I finally gave up when the economy went bust and one employee kindly let me know "we'll take your application but they're having a hiring freeze, so...I don't know what to tell you". I knew that said cashier was wrong because at my interview the manager let me know that they were opening a new flagship store on Times Square, opposite the current flagship. So they had to be hiring. But I gave up, applied to a less than stellar job at a bank I used to work for. They hired so I was just happy to have a job.
Now...straight from the Sephora Facebook Fan Page:::
****We're opening our newest “Flagship Store” in Times Square in July 09.****

How perfect that the minute I find a job..THEY'RE HIRING AGAIN!!! I swear part of me just feels like applying just for a weekend job. I'd love it. Plus, I have SUCH the ego, I'd apply just to get the job. I know I'm good enough lol. If you're in NYC and looking for job, I suggest you check this event out. If you do go GOOD LUCK!!
