When I turned 16, my godfather took me to Macy's to buy my first "real" perfume. I had always belonged to the Cult of Bath & Body and he was convinced on making me become more "grown up" by buying me a real perfume.
And help my poor mother out since I used to steal, and finish, her perfumes.
I ended up buying Glow by J.Lo, not because I was a major fan (though On the 6 was M-A-J-O-R for me growing up), but because the warmth of the fragrances made feel grown up without going into grandma territory.
So I now credit La Lopez for my coming of age and have been a faithful follower whenever she releases a new scent. While no other fragrance can hold a torch to my beloved Glow (I still have that same exact bottle, 5 years later, with just enough left for a few spritzes) I think her newest scent, Sunkissed Glow, will be perfect for summer.
Sunkissed Glow is a tropical fusion of ruby red grapefruit, pineapple juice, and cassis sorbet, juicy and sweet. At the heart of the fragrance we have sultry beach flower, orange flower, water lily, and passion flower. The fragrance ends with a sexy base that consists of sheer amber, hot sand, cashmere wood, skin musk.
Truly a sexy scent made for a sexy sunkissed summer. I can totally see myself wearing this with a bit of bronzer and bright lipgloss this summer.
The bottle still has the same sensual curves that debut with the original Glow fragrance. It has a smooth, frosted glass splashed with a soft gradient palette of burnt orange, sandy yellow, and crisp mossy green. Jennifer’s personal touch to the perfume... a wearable seashell charm bracelet.
The collection consists of Eau de toilette spray ($59.50 for 3.4 oz) and the sensual body lotion ($27.50for 6.7 oz). It's available Macy's locations and at www.macys.com
