Several weeks ago (try a month ago), I attended a press event held by esteemed skincare brand Dermalogica in celebration of their commitment to Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship (FITE). FITE is a global empowerment platform powered by Dermalogica founder Jane Warwund and Kiva.org, the nonprofit leader in microfinance.

The goal
Just as their name suggests: to provide women entrepreneurs access to small loans that will help them start or grow a business; and to help educate the public at large about the benefits of empowering women entrepreneurs.
How can you help?
With every purchase of a FITE-sleeved Dermalogica product, you will receive a code. Visit joinFITE.org to redeem your code and Dermalogica will donate a $1 microloan - on your behalf - to a female entrepreneur in the country of your choice. After a few weeks, you’ll receive information about the entrepreneur who is benefiting from your action.
