Le Labo Launches "By The Creators of Le Labo" at Anthropologie

When it comes to shopping -and I mean serious shopping- I rely upon a few stores in the city to fulfill my every need. By shopping, I don't mean the mindless day to day stops at stores whose clothes are only good for the moment. I like stores that offer me an array of options in addition to well fitting clothes, costume jewelry, beauty, etc.

When you add fragrance in the mix, that's where it gets personal. I grew up on amazing fragrances and my nose has grown quite selective over the years. I purchase a few cheap-o perfumes only out of convenience and because I am the type to hoard the good stuff in fear that once they're gone, they're gone for good. I get extremely selective as there are only a few precious scents I wear and love.

Wednesday evening, I attended a small gathering at Anthropologie (a store I love for it's feminine pieces as well as great items for home) to celebrate the launch of a new collection by niche perfume house, Le Labo. Born in France but based out of New York, Le Labo was founded by Fabrice Penot and Edouard Roschi in 2006. They have since become known for their hand-blended scents and aim to resurrect the traditional art of perfumery with each made-to-order bottle.
By The Creators of Le Labo is a five fragrance collection created exclusively for Anthropologie, each with a unique and divine smell. Housed in amber glass bottles with aged labels, it reminds me of a treasure long forgotten only to be unearthed in a random basement in Brooklyn.

The collection consists of Orange Discrète (a clean citrus), Chant de Bois (a feminine wood), Belle Du Soir (a musky chypre), Poudre D’Orient (an oriental blend) and Bouquet Blanc (a decadent floral). My favorite, unsurprisingly, is the Chant de Bois as I love woody scents that do not attack the nostrils.

By The Creators of Le Labo ranges from $28- $62 and is available at Anthropologie and Anthropologie.com

Please don't forget that you can still help the people of Haiti, donate to the Red Cross today. Thank you.Share/Bookmark
