Pucker Up Wednesday: MAC Cremesheen in Creme in Your Coffee

Heyyyy!

I have seriously been slacking with these Pucker Up Wednesday posts! And it's not because I don't have lipglosses and lipsticks to choose from...I have too many! but I'll manage...=)

Welcome to another Pucker Up Wednesday where I brighten up your week with a review of my fave (and not so fave) lippies!

I have always been the type of girl to wait on MAC collections (Hello Kitty and Fafi being the only exceptions...)

MAC launched the Cremeteam collection on February 5th but I passed because I had just splurged on HK and couldn't bring myself to pay anymore money on makeup.

Not to mention my bank wouldn't allow me.

So I passed. I mean I already had (and fell in love with) MAC Cremesheen lippies before, I live by Speak Louder. For those who don't know Cremesheen is a line that MAC introduced last year. The finish can be described as fairly pigmented color with subtle sheen and low frost. Depending on the shade you pick the color can be low or very high in intensity.

But I gave in. On a recent trip to my local MAC store, I was desperately searching for MAC's Studio Sculpt concealer (I hear its PHENOMENAL and with midterms underway, my late night cram sessions have taken a toll on my under eye area). But they were outta my shade (NW45) and I ended up "browsing" at the Cremeteam display.

I knew full and well the danger I'd get myself into. There's one lippie in particular, Lickable, that I wanted. It's an amazing in your face pink. But my MUA knew me too well. She asked me plainly, "How many pink lipsticks do you need."

She guided me towards the light and introduced me to Creme in Your Coffee.

Creme in Your Coffee is described as a creamy mid-tone pink brown and it truly lives up to that description.

It's a beautiful creamy pink brown that looks low key in the tube but delivers an amazing hint of color on my lips. I often have problem finding pink/browns that look right on my lips because my lips are two toned and slightly more on the darker side. MAC got the mix between pink and brown right in this case. It's not too cool or too warm. It makes a fantabulous neutral lip color.

This is an amazing lippie because my friend tested this out (and she's an NC 15 in MAC terms) and it looked just as gorgeous on her as it did on me. So women of all skin tones REJOICE!

I love love love Creme in Your Coffee! I have seriously worn it everyday since I bought it. Unlike my hot pinks and fuchsia lip colors, it's super wearable. No matter if I'm walking to class or meeting up with my friends in the city it can be worn no matter what. Wear it alone for day or pair it with a smokey eye for night...this is a go-to.

So join me in welcoming Creme in Your Coffee as a Makeup Bag Must Have...(applause)

Creme in Your Coffee as well as the other lipsticks that were apart of the Cremeteam collection are all permanent colors; however the lipglasses that were introduced were all limited edition, so call up your local MAC store/counter to see if it's still available.
