People, there’s a reason why I’m not a professional model. My hair never acts the way I want it to; my posture sucks; and when I’m over it, I’m over it.
Exhibit A:
However, this skirt warrants documentation and considering the fact that three people in my office commented and said I looked decent- I knew an OOTD was in order.
The skirt was a result of a late night stroll into H&M (why is that place open so late?). It screams I attend Constance Billiard or at least I should.
It’s short and gives a lot of leg. If I weren’t so exhausted, I could have werked this look today.
xoxo, Eileen

It’s no secret that I’m a better beauty girl than fashionista. I crave and live by comfort and I won‘t try not to subject myself to discomfort. With that said, my usual routine of jeans and a tee shirt has been majorly affected as I am now a working girl in the fashion industry. Whether it’s through client events or blogger events, I”m always meeting new people and, yes, these people judge you by your looks.
Everything from your clothes, accessories, shoes and bag is secretly scrutinized. With that said, being subjected to such stylish people, I’ve developed an insane love of shoes. Heels have become a new love and I want to explore said love without a)breaking the bank and b) being uncomfortable.
Enter Shoe Dazzle. If you’re not familiar with the company, here’s the rundown: created by Kim Kardashian, it’s a membership site for shoe lovers. You take a personality quiz which analyzes, or attempts to analyze, your fashion sense and then delivers shoe options based off of your answers. All for $39.95 a month. The best part is if you do not like the options they send you, you have the option to skip the month and not get charged.
I’ve been a member since May 2009, however, it started off rocky as my shoe options weren’t all that and I’m terribly afraid of ordering clothes/shoes online (I have big feet and sizes are always screwy). Fast forward to 2010 and the site stepped up it shoe option for those of us with big feet (yay!) and there’s been no turning back. So far I’ve ordered Jett-a pair of cheetah print booties (which has garnered many a compliments) and Bliss, a gorgeous faux alligator pump. Now, peep my latest purchase.
Style name is Dimitra
Kick some bootie in this color-blocked, faux suede peep-toe.
Dimitra likes to play rough, so think about pairing her with destroyed denim and a tattered tee. No need to keep the jeans skinny; try a fuller cut to maximize impact. Use brassy, metallic pieces to add knuckles to your dressier looks—then she’ll really pack a punch ShoesDazzle.com
My brother calls my shoe taste “Rihanna shoes” and I believe him. I love a platform and booties can do no wrong.
Ordering from Shoe Dazzle is a convenient way of shopping for shoes (I sometimes get the urge to shop, at say, midnight). Since my biggest problem is sizing, I’m happy that under each shoe option, they let you know if the shoes are true to size, a half size too small, etc. Also (and this I’m super pumped about) they’re incorporating bigger size options and half sizes (amen for the 9.5!)
Have you ever shopped Shoe Dazzle? How was your shopping experience?

This week’s music video comes from some singer called Ke$ha. The single, Tik Tok, makes absolutely no sense but I’m a sucker for an infectious beat and easy chorus. Not to mention her sequined jacket towards the ending totes had me wanting to scoop one up. Why not? It’s so on trend for Fall ’09…check out Philip Lim’s Fall 2009 collection…
For a more college budget friendly version, Forever 21 has got us covered with their silver 3/4 sleeve blazer ($32.80)
Enjoy the video! (feel free to dance in your seat at work…you’re not really doing anything important anyway ;)…)
Lately my personal style has shifted from comfy but casual to feminine and flirty. I want things in my closet that are wearable and girly- but not too cute and “frou frou”. Sensibilty is key.
I’ve fallen in love with independent designer Erika Hendrix and her Autumn/Winter 2009/10 collection. This collection, titled “A Fashion Tale”, recently launched on her website (www.erikahendrix.com). It’s the perfect mix of femininity that doesn’t give up on comfort.
The German born designer launched her clothing line in 2005 and really has an eye for design. The collection features feminine and tomboyish looks with skirts, dresses, and baggy hooded sweaters.
Sizes run from XS-L, and prices range from 35€-140€ (which is roughly about $40-$200). International shipping is available (YES!) through her website, www.erikahendrix.com.
