The sole purpose of yesterday’s outfit was to test the limits on how many shades of pink I can pull off in one outfit. What’s not pictured here is my pink hat AND beats headphones (I figure, I’d spare you). #killedit
Can we also talk about my sneakers? They’re part of the Kate Spade x Keds collection and my second pair. I can’t say no to polka dots and gingham so I ended up picking up both pairs and cannot wait to wear it all summer. They’re unbelievably comfy (doesn’t hurt the arch) and a-do-ra-ble!
After shopping my life away these past couple of weeks, I’ve instituted a strict shopping ban for the next 60 days since I really need to save. Apartment hunting has proven just how poor I am and need to save up since my budget can get approximately a half a room in NYC (not fun).

I don’t want to jinx it but the weather in NYC is absolutely glorious! It’s been a while since it warmed up like this and I want nothing more than to roam around the city, iced latte in hand. Alas, I have to be in an office all day so I decided to dress up a normally dressed down look. Nothing fancy, no funky prints — just the classics to keep me comfy.
Things have been a bit crazy these past few weeks and there’s just been so many changes I have to get used to. A coworker is heading off to greener pastures so the team and I decided to grab lunch (Alidoro makes the best sandwiches in the city, hands down!) and eat outside. Nothing like great people, a few laughs, yummy food, and the sun shining down on your face to kick off the week.

The most wonderful time of the year was upon us last week in New York City, and I don’t mean the holidays. Sample sale season. It’s the time of the year when brands decide to put last season’s (and sometimes current) products up for grabs so us mere mortals can actually afford it, although some brands will always be out of financial reach. While I don’t consider myself a complete bargain hunter or a budget fashionista, I do look out for sales and deals simply because I’m stubborn and will not pay full price for something if there’s a more affordable option.
Case in point: these 3.1 Phillip Lim draped silk crepe pants that I got for 75 bucks (retail $375). Their perfectly slouchy and are pleated, comfortable, and stylish. See also, these J. Crew Mona pumps which are actually on sale now online (shop here). Although I bought it a wee too big (I had on thick tights when I tried them on), they’re still a good fit and perfect for work. Every girl should have a pair of nude pumps and it baffled me that I never owned a pair! Winner, winner, chicken dinner…

fun fact: yesterday was a pretty warm Fall day in the city. Did that stop me from breaking out the faux fur vest? NO! Are you kidding? The minute I received this vest in the mail, I knew it was going to be in constant rotation. It’s pretty big compared to what I currently own so I decided to cinch the waist in a bit. I’m still trying to learn how to style it but I think I did good, no?
