You’ve for sure seen this video already but I can’t stop watching it after having seen it at the New York premiere. Stuart Weitzman debuted their newest fashion film called “Made for Walking” starring Kate Moss, the face of the brand’s Fall 2013 campaign.
Shot in central London, Moss sets loose from a traffic jam (something I’ve contemplated doing time and time again) and walks to her destination with Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walking” playing in the background because, duh. For their Fall 2013 collection, Stuart Weitzman unveiled a new collection boots - as seen in the video - that are comfortable and stylish (even if you’re left staring at your closet wondering how to pull off thigh high boots). This fall the brand is also celebrating 20 years with their classic over the knee, 5050 boot. Huzzah!
If you’re feelin’ lucky, enter the #MadeForWalking contest where you can enter to win some amazing prizes like a $750 gift card or a two night trip to New York City, a champagne tour of the Stuart Weitzman showroom and $1500 shoe wardrobe.
FTC Disclosure: I attended the press preview and received a pair of boots as a thank you.
Yesterday I took a quick run out of the office to screen the new Spring 2013 footwear campaign for Pour la Victoire. Shot by Terry Richardson, the campaign features model Jessica Hart and gives a quick glimpse into how the final campaign came to be. Take a quick look at the video below:
The collection (peek above) will be available next month.
It’s no secret that I’m a better beauty girl than fashionista. I crave and live by comfort and I won‘t try not to subject myself to discomfort. With that said, my usual routine of jeans and a tee shirt has been majorly affected as I am now a working girl in the fashion industry. Whether it’s through client events or blogger events, I”m always meeting new people and, yes, these people judge you by your looks.
Everything from your clothes, accessories, shoes and bag is secretly scrutinized. With that said, being subjected to such stylish people, I’ve developed an insane love of shoes. Heels have become a new love and I want to explore said love without a)breaking the bank and b) being uncomfortable.
Enter Shoe Dazzle. If you’re not familiar with the company, here’s the rundown: created by Kim Kardashian, it’s a membership site for shoe lovers. You take a personality quiz which analyzes, or attempts to analyze, your fashion sense and then delivers shoe options based off of your answers. All for $39.95 a month. The best part is if you do not like the options they send you, you have the option to skip the month and not get charged.
I’ve been a member since May 2009, however, it started off rocky as my shoe options weren’t all that and I’m terribly afraid of ordering clothes/shoes online (I have big feet and sizes are always screwy). Fast forward to 2010 and the site stepped up it shoe option for those of us with big feet (yay!) and there’s been no turning back. So far I’ve ordered Jett-a pair of cheetah print booties (which has garnered many a compliments) and Bliss, a gorgeous faux alligator pump. Now, peep my latest purchase.
Style name is Dimitra
Kick some bootie in this color-blocked, faux suede peep-toe.
Dimitra likes to play rough, so think about pairing her with destroyed denim and a tattered tee. No need to keep the jeans skinny; try a fuller cut to maximize impact. Use brassy, metallic pieces to add knuckles to your dressier looks—then she’ll really pack a punch ShoesDazzle.com
My brother calls my shoe taste “Rihanna shoes” and I believe him. I love a platform and booties can do no wrong.
Ordering from Shoe Dazzle is a convenient way of shopping for shoes (I sometimes get the urge to shop, at say, midnight). Since my biggest problem is sizing, I’m happy that under each shoe option, they let you know if the shoes are true to size, a half size too small, etc. Also (and this I’m super pumped about) they’re incorporating bigger size options and half sizes (amen for the 9.5!)
Have you ever shopped Shoe Dazzle? How was your shopping experience?

Everyone join me in congratulating Elysia on winning the Kelsi Dagger Shoe Giveaway. Elysia commented on the MissWYA Facebook Page and said:: I love walking around NY at night, enjoying all the gorgeous qualities of the amazing city.
Well, Elysia your nightly adventures have just been giving an extra dose of glam with your new Monroe sandals!

I’d also like to thank the folks over at Kelsi Dagger for sponsoring such a great giveaway!
For the past week or two NYC has been dealing with some seriously beautiful weather. It’s warm (albeit humid) and the sun is out all day long. Not one to waste a beautiful day, I decided to skip my usual jeans and a tee rut and pull out the short dresses and sandals.
When it comes to taking pictures, I’m completely torn. Taking them alone, I panic, freak out and do this really awkward pose thing where I cross my legs (see above). I don’t know what it is but my awkwardness almost always takes over no matter how much people swear the camera “loves” me.
LIARS! haha
I got this dress from H&M ($60) and am absolutely OBSESSED with the shoulder detailing. It has ivory colored beads that take over each shoulder without making it feel heavy or awkward at all. I wore this to graduation and decided to wear it again considering it was hidden underneath my graduation gown.
Nobody puts baby in a corner!
The shoes were gifted to me by the good folks over at Kelsi Dagger. Kelsi Dagger is the brainchild of David Giordano and Jay Adoni. Adoni and Giordano are also the creators of mega brand Pour La Victoire who saw potential in the junior’s shoe market.
Named after the English fictional literary Show Girl/ femme fatal, Kelsi Dagger is confident, independent, slightly dangerous and speaks to the accelerating velocity of how young people live today.
Awkward feet again!
This style is called the “Monroe” and typically with flats, my feet will end up hurting at the end of the day but surprisingly enough that didn’t happen at all with these. Major cool points. Feminine, comfortable and affordable- something every gal could look forward to when shoe shopping!
Now the fun part! Since it is spring and we all need to transition from drab to fab, Kelsi Dagger has partnered up with MissWhoever You Are for an amazing giveaway! One lucky winner will win a pair of Kelsi Dagger Monroe sandals just in time for the summer vacation. Get your pedicures girls because you will be wearing these sandals every day!
