…because I’m eager for Spring! I wore my newest favorite color combo of hot pink and blue a few days back and was snapped by a coworker’s friend. The picture doesn’t do the dress justice since it’s more of a neon (and I mean NEON) pink. Pretty bright, fun, and girly so expect to see this dress more and more as the weather warms (I can’t wait for the day to start baring my legs).
What I’m wearing: Prabal Gurung for Target sweater; H&M dress; Zara booties (old)
Weeee!!! The weather in NYC was unbelievably warm today and I’m starting to get pumped! This may be cliché but with the arrival of spring, I always feel the need to do something new. Whether it’s buying a whole new wardrobe (did that last year but this year I’m being responsible blah, blah, blah) or cleaning the apartment from top to bottom, I like this sense of newness. This year, I was determined to take my short hair journey one step further by going to a pixie - full throttle! None of that boy cut, swingy hair! While my stylist disagrees, I’m flirting with the idea of cropped pixies and loving it so far.
sweater: j. crew; pants: zara (old); shoes: zara; jewelry (on left arm): bauble bar, betsey johnson watch (old), charm & chains; jewelry (on right arm): kate spade
I think it’s time I come clean and admit that I have quite the shopping problem. While it’s no surprise, it came at me full speed as I walked home carrying yet another shopping bag, this time toting the cutest French bulldog sweater. Ever.
I can’t resist you J. Crew!
Not to mention the following day I got TWO packages in the mail: shoes and jewelry, natch. It’s a serious problem. I shop to make myself happy so it looks like I need a new hobby (or at least a therapist). That all said, I’m putting myself on a no shopping mission (for real this time). It may involve me going into my current wardrobe, analyzing what I have (or what I can sell to make some extra moolah), and where I may need to invest. How long is this mission? Until 2013. Or at least Holiday 2012 (a girl gotta buy herself something sweet for her birthday).
in my mind, there exists this imaginary world where i have an affordable two bedroom apartment in the city with enough light to make a Parisian home jealous (this is me assuming that all Parisian apartments are filled with light, facing the Eiffel Tower, thanks Pinterest!). In said apartment — go with me a little — I’ve dedicated one room solely for my wardrobe and beauty products, another for my bedroom (king size bed, obvs), one for my bath, kitchen, living room (oh and there’s a den). the rooms are outfitted in crisp and pure white decor with flashes of beiges, pinks, african violet, and monaco blue.
the launch of zara’s home collection doesn’t help my daydream much as I’m now picking tablecloths, bedspreads, and this Nekoma Vase. with goldaccents here and wooden pieces there, Zara is making it their BUSINESS to invade not only my closet but my entire lifestyle — and to that I say WELCOME!
