It seems as if NYC can’t decide whether it should be cold or warm. Getting ready in the morning has become a mental game in which I dress for both and pray for the best (hello trench coat and open shoes). But I’m not going to complain, especially when I’m greeted with beauties like this..
Pin ItDisclosure: Marchez Vous is a client at my company. Please don’t forget that you can still help the people of Haiti, donate to the Red Cross today. Thank you.

I’m 98% sure there’s no graceful way to take photos when its windy.
Beside that, I’m super excited the weather has warmed up a bit again this week. I’ve been in such a major funk and I’m hoping the weather and increasing daylight will turn this frown upside down. It’s a funny thing when you get older. School prepares you to know lots of random facts you may never use but not the real deal. Real life is rough. When was the last time I had to deal with parabolas at work, yet I had the WORST time in my mathematics class!! I’ve been out of college for two years now and I’m faced with too difficult decisions. What if I don’t get into law school, then what? Do I even want to go when the New York Times keeps publishing articles like this and this, oh, and this? Not only that, I’ve reached a point of annoyance with several aspects in life that I’m yearning for a change but too fearful to just go for it.
That’s what they need to teach in school: how to grow some damn balls and make the right decision.
Today we hit a high of 59 degrees in the city and, though windy, New Yorkers have no behavior — myself included. I’m seeing so many bare legs and short skirts one would think it’s actually summer. I’ve practically lost my mind and decided to break out my new peep toe shoes, which I scored at the Barney’s Warehouse Sale on opening day. Major! They retailed for $400 but at $130 I knew it had to be mine. I’m so excited for spring — can’t wait to break out these bad boys more often.
perhaps it’s the lighting but these photos really doesn’t do this skirt justice. That’s what I get for waiting until 5:30pm, eh? It’s definitely orange and not pink as it may seem. But I am in love with it. Ever since spotting it on Atlantic-Pacific, I immediately purchased and have worn twice. Expect to see it multiple times throughout the warmer weather
sweater and dress (worn as skirt): H&M; boots [unseen :(]: Coach
do you remember this dress? I’ve worn it here and, quite honestly, too many times to count It’s beyond comfy but I wanted to mix it up a bit. Yesterday I decided to fold the top portion inside the dress to turn it into a skirt et voila! one item, remixed.
P.S. my roots are shwing something crazy (as you can see). I’m currently trying to decide if I should go fully natural but a relaxer is calling my name — like, this weekend.
