As if most of my money isn’t already wasted by all of the makeup I purchase (damn you MAC), now images of Anna Sui’s collection for Target has leaked (damn you The Cut.)
Target is up to it again offering designer collaborations for a moderately low price except this time they’re partnering with fashion designer Anna Sui. Sui is the second designer to work with Tar-jayy in the Designer Collaborations series (Alexander McQueen was the first back in February). The exclusive Anna Sui for Target collection was inspired by the four main female characters of the hit- and massively addictive- show, Gossip Girl. Launching on September 13, 3009 (middle of Fashion Week!) at 500 Target stores nationwide and Target.com. The collection will be available through October 17, 2009.
I plan to be there bright and early September 13th (that’s a Sunday bt dubs)…I’m thinking 7am-ish. Early? Yes. Crazy? No.
Not to be confused with Target’s GO International designer collaborations- Thakoon, Proenza Schouler, Rogan and more recently Tracy Feith- Designer Collaborations is a separate entity. Both of these initiatives offer exclusive collections from high end designers- who normally charge $200+ for their clothing- to woman at an affordable price. They often sell out super quickly so you have to be there THE DAY it starts when Tar-jayy opens. Designer Collaborations, however, tend to run a bit pricier ($69) as opposed to the GO International collections ($25).

I already see seven pieces from this collection that I’m ready to snap up! Funny thing is judging from this I’m a mix of Blair and Vanessa as those are the two that I am looking to purchase. My anticipated purchase:
Blair

-the last blue and brown trapeze dress

Vanessa:
-EVERYTHING!
Serena:
-Leather Jacket
-last look (grey and black dress)
Looks like I’ll be saving up my paychecks this summer. For now, I’m looking at about $500. Or a bit more..haha.
