A few weeks ago, the internet seemed to be buzzing after M·A·C announced their newest collection honoring fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez collection and rightfully so as Antonio’s Girls (as they were called) – Marisa Berenson, Pat Cleveland and Jerry Hall – all reunited to commemorate the release of this collection and appeared front and center as a part of the visual campaign.
Antonio Lopez worked with some of the biggest fashion houses (Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Versace) during the 60s and 70s as well as the biggest fashion magazines (Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar). Though he died from complications due to AIDS, his mark was made in the fashion industry.
The collection features palettes for face, eyes, and lips as well as a makeup bag, tote bag, 129 brush, and mirror compact. Each palette has the face of one of his muses, which means they’re something that can be kept long after the makeup is gone.
