wishlist 3/8/13
birthday wish list
In a little under a month, I’ll be turning the big 2-5! While I’m pretty positive I’ve gone through several quarter-life crises, I’m still kickin’. To help my good friends, family, and imaginary boyfriends along the treacherous path of finding me a gift, I’ve compiled a wish list of sorts. There are dream items, things I’m likely to purchase for myself within the coming weeks, and/or stuff I added simply because I know a few members have discovered my little blog (*waves!*) and you never know when one of ‘em might think “damn, that Eileen is such a good niece!”
Here are a few things I’m coveting:

Coach (also on sale here!) // Pumps // Necklace // Grace Coddington Memoir // Juicy Couture handbag // Leopard bangle // Pave bracelet // Camera
The Golden Age: My Birthday Wishlist
My birthday makes me sad. While I cause a raucous and constantly remind those around me of its upcoming arrival, there’s a hint of depression that sits far below the surface. Birthdays were the worst days and I’m always reminded of that.
This year, however, it’s a big deal. I’m turning 24 on December 24th and apparently that’s called a Golden Birthday (I also like the term “Champagne Birthday,” naturally). Planning something around my birthday is always useless since, after all, it IS Christmas weekend and everybody spends that time with their family (boo!). What better time to post a wish-list of sorts and see if the universe (a.k.a dad, friends, dad) is really paying attention.
Coach “Willis” Bag in Britishtan: this bag is the perfect not-too-big, not-too-small guy I’ve been looking for. I first saw it after meeting the lovely @CoachBlkrWomen for dinner one evening and its been on my mind ever since.
Coach Boyfriend Bracelet Watch: yes, another Coach goody. What can I say, I’m smitten. It’s no secret I love a solid gold watch since I’ve worn my Juicy Couture one to death! While most people run to get the Michael Kors, there’s only one boyfriend watch on my list and it’s this guy. This one’s chunky enough to pass off for a guy’s watch without swallowing my tiny wrists whole.
Theyskens’ Theory patent-leather and suede ombré wedges: I don’t need these and I know it. After seeing them on dozens of fashion bloggers. I’ve seen just how easily these can be styled, thus making them practical. See what I did there? I rationalized a pair of expensive-ass shoes. Imagine me in Zara.
Karen Walker Number One Sunglasses: I blogged about them here, when I borrowed them from a coworker. I’ve yet to purchase and it’s killing me. Maybe someone wants to make me happy? ‘Tis the season after all
Bauble Bar Initial Monogram Pendant (Large) (obviously in my initials EKD): look, I grew up in the 90′s where nameplates were a thing okay? I might have lost mine some time in between 2000 and 2002 but that doesn’t negate the fact that I still want one. In gold. Now that Bauble Bar has these monogrammed pendants, I think they’re the grown up version of a 90′s staple…right next to door knockers.
NARS Kudoki Kabuki Lip Set: This is gorgeous and the lemming fo this is INSANE! Named for an element of Kabuki dance, this take on the Bento Box set features three limited edition shades poured into custom ceramic cups. I can imagine this elegant little gem sitting on my vanity next to the rest of my knick knacks.
PS: I totally didn’t mean to make the intro of this post to sound so depressing. Yikes! I need to work on my delivery…
Please don’t forget that you can still help the people of Haiti, donate to the Red Cross today. Thank you.![]()
