new neutrogena See Whats Possible
When Neutrogena reached out to ask me to participate in their See What’s Possible campaign, I knew I wanted to partner with them on it. Honestly, Kerry Washington could be selling me dog poo and I’d be all SIGN ME UP!

Just kidding! Sorta.

I love the message Kerry and the Neutrogena team are sending with this initiative.

Through thousands of hours meeting with women from Dallas to Taipei, Sao Paulo to Paris, Neutrogena® uncovered a universal truth – women are stepping back to examine what’s possible in their lives so they can pursue their dreams. -Neutrogena

It honestly hit close to home for me as recently I’ve been taking a look at my life, where I am, and what I want to do. More importantly, what I want to create. Not to get all super ~millennial~ on y’all but I’ve been reexamining what I do and what my purpose is. Some dreams change. All my life I wanted to be a lawyer. Then in college I decided to scrap that (for now?) and pursue a career in digital market/ social media. Now I’m looking at what I’m doing and thinking if now is the time I go ahead and pursue my dream. Even if I have NO CLUE how to go about it. Stay tuned.

“Challenge yourself. I want to always be having new goals. I want to always be giving my self new challenges, new things to reach for. I want to stay inspired. I want to be reaching toward things that will force me to grow.” - Kerry Washington

Always on a mission to create, innovate, and rethink what’s possible in skincare, Neutrogena has proven time and time again that you can create products that smell amazing while clearing acne. Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Water Gel to hydrates skin while providing sun protection. With their Ultra Sheer® Dry-Touch Sunscreens you can have year round sun protection and proving that you don’t need greasy formulas to take care of your skin.

Going beyond their products, Neutrogena has partnered with the Girls Inc. organization, whose mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. The partnership will support the Girls Inc. Experience, helping them bring intensive, hands-on, life-changing programming to more girls than ever before. This will ensure that each girl has the skills to build an independent future, and grows to be a competent and confident woman. I like you, Neutrogena, for putting your money where your mouth is.

Recently I’ve revamped my skincare and in it, I’ve included the new White Mud Exfoliating Scrub + Mask by The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder. Now as many of you may know, I started working for The Estée Edit back in January and this is one of those items I KNEW I had to have after learning more about it.

White Mud is a two-in-one mask and exfoliating treatment that’s meant to draw out impurities and remove excess oil and shine.

I like using it two to three times a week as it has jojoba exfoliating beads. The creamy-smooth white porcelain clay formula easily glides onto skin so you can use it as a regular face wash OR let it sit for about five minutes as a mask. My skin feels super smooth after using it without feeling dry. I love it!

White Mud Exfoliating Scrub + Mask by The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder is available exclusively at Sephora stores and sephora.com.

Whenever NARS releases a blush palette, I’m always slightly disappointed. Although the brand is women of color friendly, for some reason their blush palettes are almost always too light. This NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette (Sephora exclusive) is almost on the right track. Of all the shades, I would say there are two here that I absolutely cannot use.
NARS NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette
This is a multitasking palette that allows you to highlight, contour, and apply blush all in one. It’s super travel friendly and if you’re actually using all of the shades, a definite must-have.

SHADE BREAKDOWN

  • Contour Blush in Paloma I (pink beige), Paloma II (deep rose)
  • Laguna Bronzing Powder (diffused brown powder with golden shimmer)
  • I Blush in Icy Lilac
  • II Blush in Sausalito Sunset
  • III Blush in Shimmering Rose Peach
  • IV Blush in Fleshy Pink

NARS NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette review
I love the packaging. It’s super sleek and not the typical NARS rubberized packaging (which gets totally dirty after a while).

The NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette is available at Sephora now.

Disclosure: I received a sample of this palette from the brand.

Another day, another Shopbop Friends and Family!
shopbop friends and family 2016
If you missed out on the last opportunity to save some dinero, now’s your chance.
shopbop f&f 2016
It seems I’m going to be doing a bit of traveling this year and while I love my current carry on, I’m itching for one that has swivel wheels. It’s truly the little things! It’s a lot easier to go through the airport and you won’t have to deal with your carry on tumbling over. I’ve got my eye on this Herschel Supply Co. Trade Suitcase as it’s affordable but there’s also the sleek options by Tumi (here and here).

On the accessories front, I’ll always recommend the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel and I’d be a liar if I didn’t tell you I’m considering getting it in black 🙈. This Miansai Screw Cuff has been in my cart for a long time and I think it’s time to bite the bullet. So chic, no?

Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats are so cute! I’m not even a cat person. I live for a good Moschino iPhone Cover and how dope are these?? Lastly, I’m in the springtime mood and these floral Kate Spade New York Licorice Pumps are so seasonally appropriate.

The Urban Decay Summer 2016 collection has hit stores and I am smitten. SMITTEN!! I received samples from the brand and after playing around for a bit I can tell you, you have to pick up a few things.
urban decay naked skin one and done
Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector $34
Available in six shades, the new Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector is an oil-free, hybrid complexion cream that promises to blur imperfections and even out skintone for a result that looks natural. It gives you sheer coverage and it’s a great lightweight tinted moisturizer that’s ideal for warm weather wear.
Urban Decay Summer 2016 Collection
24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Heartless $20
The ever popular 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil gets a new shade addition with Heartless, a light frosted pink shade that can be used to highlight the inner corner for fairer skin.

Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter$26
THIS IS A MUST HAVE ITEM! The powders are so finely milled that they apply like straight up butter. Available in three shades, these can either be used as highlighters or blushes depending on your skin tone. Only two are pictured above but see swatches are below

  • Aura (iridescent light pink)
  • Sin (champagne)
  • Fireball (peach with pink shift)

Urban Decay Beached Bronzer $28
Yes, the powder is super-soft. Yes, they are matte. Yes, they’re gorgeous. But “universally wearable?” Maybe if the universe didn’t have dark skin women 😒. As a woman with deep skin (I’m usually either a NW45 or NW50 in MAC for reference) this wasn’t truly a bronzer, rather a setting powder. They do run a bit warm so be warned if you have fair skin as it can seem a bit orange.

Urban Decay Walk of Shame 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil $20
Another new shade being added to a permanent product! Walk of Shame is a nude hue that can be worn on the waterline to create a brighter more wide awake appearance.
