IT Cosmetics

Last month, IT Cosmetics made its debut at Sephora with a somewhat edited but mighty collection. Admittedly, I haven’t tried much from IT Cosmetics prior to earlier this year. Previously available at ULTA and QVC, the brand is known for their Bye Bye Under Eye concealer, which only comes in four shades, the deepest being way too light for me. I was excited to get my hands on a few products from the brand because I really want to see what the hype was about and learn more about their new offerings.

Some hits from the collection available at Sephora include the Bye Bye Lines Serum ($58), Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream ($48), and the Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Lip Treatment ($24). All three are exclusive to Sephora and have been in heavy rotation in my beauty routine. I love using the Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream in the morning because it’s got a bit of a cooling feeling which is great to wake me up. It depuffs and brightens the under eye area and soaks into the skin pretty quickly.

After the eye cream, I go in with the serum which promises to fill in lines and wrinkles. Since I don’t have lines or wrinkles (yet) I can’t say if it works but it is packed with skin-loving ingredients like peptides, caviar extract, hydrolyzed collagen and algae to also help improve the look of tone and texture. The Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Lip Treatment stays in my bag as it’s the perfect lip balm to hydrate and soften lips throughout the day.

Next on my “Must Try” list is the Bye Bye Pores Primer™ ($38), Confidence in a Cream ($48), Bye Bye Makeup™ 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm ($38), and the Heavenly Skin™ Bye Bye Pores™ Powder Brush #701 ($58). I’m always on the hunt for a good primer and this promises to blur the look of pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven texture while hydrating skin. Sign me up! Everyone RAVES about Confidence in a Cream so I’ve added that to my basket and the brush feels oh so soft. I’m currently going through my Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (holy grail!) so once that’s done, I’ll be moving on to this IT Cosmetics one to see how it holds up.

The Anti-Aging Armour™ Super Smart Skin-Perfecting Beauty Fluid SPF 50+ does leave a slight gray-ish cast if you don’t rub it well into your skin. Honestly it’s a bit too much work for me day to day but it’s nothing foundation can’t cover up. It’s not offensive but at the same time, I’m not jumping to reach for it on a daily basis. This is a pass.

I haven’t fully played with the Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination™ Concealer because I’m terrified they may be too light and end up aggravating me. Why in the year of our Lord 2016 are brands still neglecting deep skin tones, the world may never know. While I was at the press event, a rep for the brand DID say they’re working on deeper shades because even they know it’s slightly ridiculous. If anything, this can be a highlighter shade but it is FULL coverage when swatched on the back of my hand.

Have you tried anything from IT Cosmetics?? Let me know in the comments!

I’ve been using It’s bye bye pores poreless translucent loose powder to set my foundation and it’s a great alternative/dup for the Laura Mercier powder (cheaper too! By like $12)

It cosmetics make great products especially lip gloss, but I stopped buying their products , cause they have been saying they are making foundation for darker skintones for years, but hey are constantly coming out with the foundation formulas no darker than tan. Had to take my money else where, even though I am kind of tempted by this skincare collection.

Ladies, don’t waste your money! Very heavy and does not go on evenly or smoothly. They profess it will cover a tattoo ? I couldn’t get it to cover an age spot without Slathering it on. Needs. Major work on colors. Expensive lesson learned about absolutely False advertising. Definitely Not a keeper. I’ll stick with Estée Lauder. Tried and true
