I’m sharing my boudoir experience and in hopes that they will inspire and empower other women who are feeling a little nervous about doing something like this. If I can do it, so can you! So here is my Curtis Jones Boudoir review.
So here’s the backstory. Last year, I decided to take the plunge and do a boudoir shoot. Why? Well, why not? I wanted to do something for me. Plus, I had this idea of giving my husband Kyle the photos as a surprise wedding gift, and I thought, “What better way to show off my confidence (or at least pretend to have some!) than through a boudoir session?” So, I reached out to Orlando area boudoir photographer Curtis Jones a few weeks before our wedding, and honestly, I am SO glad I did.
We shot the session in April 2024, near Melbourne Beach, a little north of the main section, and when I say “early,” I mean the sun had barely started to peek over the horizon. (Yes, we were those people who got up at 4:30 AM—Kyle wasn’t thrilled about that part. ) But the moment I saw the empty beach, with nothing but the sound of the waves crashing and a beautiful orange glow in the sky, I knew it was going to be worth it. We walked all over the coast for over 2 hours getting amazing shots. Just an amazing experience.
Curtis was such a joy to work with. You know how sometimes you get that feeling when you’re with someone, and you just click? Well, that was us. He made me feel totally comfortable and relaxed, even though I was nervous as heck at first. The whole point of boudoir is to feel sexy and confident, and Curtis was so reassuring, kind, and professional throughout the entire process. He wasn’t just there to take pictures; he was there to help me feel good about me—and that, my friends, was priceless.
What I loved most was how seamless the session was. Curtis had the perfect vibe—low-key, friendly, and non-awkward. We found this little secluded spot on the beach where we could just be ourselves. There were no random beach-goers around (thank goodness for early mornings), so it felt completely private and intimate. Curtis worked with the natural light, using the early sun to create these gorgeous, glowing shots. It was magical!
Honestly, I’ve never felt more powerful than I did in that moment—standing on the beach, bare feet in the sand, and feeling like the most confident version of myself. I had no idea what the photos were going to look like at the time, but when I saw them later? WOW. He made me look like a goddess. I looked like me, but with this whole new layer of confidence that I didn’t even know I had.
I’m finally getting the courage to share these photos because I want to show other women that it’s okay to embrace your body, your curves, your flaws, and your beauty. If you’ve ever thought about doing a boudoir shoot, but you’re too nervous or self-conscious—trust me when I say it’s worth it. If I can do it, you can too!
And let me tell you, when I gave Kyle the photos on our honeymoon, the look on his face was priceless. It was the perfect personal gift, and honestly, I think it brought us even closer as a couple. He loved them (I mean, who wouldn’t?!), but what made me happiest was how I felt about myself in those photos. They were about more than just a gift for him; they were about me owning my confidence.
So, if you’re on the fence about doing something like this, my advice is simple: go for it! And if you’re in the Orlando area (or willing to travel to the beautiful beaches around here), Curtis is the photographer you want. He’s the real deal and made the entire experience unforgettable. I can’t recommend him enough!
If anything, take this as a little nudge to remind you that you are amazing, just the way you are. Whether you’re thinking about a boudoir shoot or just working on feeling good in your own skin, know that you’re enough, and there’s beauty in everything you do.
Ready to feel like the queen you are? Grab your confidence, book that shoot, and let the world see how amazing you really are!

You look so hot girl!
Wow is all I can say. I love this!
You rocked this photoshoot girl. You look great.
I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time but I am so nervous. I’ve talked to a few boudoir photographers but never felt like they were what I was looking for. Can you add a link to the photographer’s website?
Oh I didn’t even think about that, here you go and I added it to the article too! https://www.curtisjonesphotography.com/orlando-boudoir-photography/
